  • Join us from 9am-12pm on Saturday, September 14 for International Coastal Cleanup 2024! Volunteers will remove trash from Great Salt Lake’s southern shores to restore critical wildlife habitat and improve water quality. Please wear clothes you can get dirty, shoes appropriate for mud and sand, and pack a rain jacket. Gloves, trash bags, and other cleanup supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring any of your own supplies. Schedule: 9:00am – 9:30am: Meet at Great Salt Lake State Park 9:30am-12:00pm: Cleanup at designated sites For questions, contact Katie Newburn at pelican@fogsl.org

  • Save the date and spread the word! Back at the Capitol for a Rally to Save Our Great Salt Lake on Saturday, January 25th at 2 pm. The record 2023-2024 water years have given us some room to breathe, but we’re just one dry year away from being back at Great Salt Lake’s historic low. Utah’s legislature has declared a moratorium on new major water legislation this year as Great Salt Lake has fallen on their list of priorities. Stand with us on January 25th and make it clear that Utahns demand a healthy Great Salt Lake. Join the swell of community members coming together to protect our namesake lake and our future in the Salt Lake Valley. The capacity and commitment we continue to build is what will carry this work long term, and we need your voice!
